Helicopter crash in Siberia, fifteen people killed
Tragedy struck in Russia which left 15 people dead when a regular citizen helicopter smashed in Siberia.
The Mi-8 helicopter, which was transporting 22 travelers and four team individuals, smashed outside the town of Igarka in Western Siberia, somewhere in the range of 2,800 kilometers (1,750 miles) upper east of Moscow.
"Fifteen individuals were slaughtered and 10 individuals were hospitalized as an aftereffect of the accident," transport authorities said in an announcement.
Contact with the helicopter which was made a beeline for an oil pumping station was lost soon after 0400 GMT, somewhere in the range of 15 minutes after departure from Igarka air terminal, powers said.
The local office of the crises service said the helicopter had performed a crisis arrival yet did not expound on what may have brought about the accident.
