Fire outbreak in jos market destroys 118 shops.



A furious night inferno flattened 118 shops at the Kabong market in Jos North on Thursday morning, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

A NAN reporter, who went by the market, couldn't get to the smoldered area as a few shops were still on fire.



The real reason for the flame couldn't be found out, however Mr Christopher Jama, Chairman, Kabong Market Traders Association, who informed the governor when he went by the scene said the flame began by 4:00am.

Jama asserted that the flame was brought on by an electrical flash when open power supply was restored in the night.

He told Gov. Simon Lalong that 118 shops were totally burnt down, and noticed that merchandise wrecked included packs of maize, beans, rice, and poultry items.

He spoke to the senator to go to the guide of the influenced merchants 'whose method for work had been decimated'.

Lalong, who communicated "profound stun" at the improvement, guaranteed to rebuild the business sector furthermore address the merchants situation.

"Government was at that point working towards rebuilding before the inferno," he said.

He on the other hand, communicated appreciation to God that no life was lost.
