APC Supporters outraged after Kogi election declared inconclusive

Supporters of the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, James Faleke, in the Kogi election have threatened to sue the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for declaring last Saturday’s election inconclusive.

The supporters at a briefing in Lokoja, queried why INEC declared an election that had produced a clear winner inconclusive.

Mohammed Abdulahi and Messrs Achama Matthew , in a communique they signed on behalf of the group, also said the fresh primaries being proposed by the APC to replace late Prince Abubakar Audu, was unnecessary.

According to them, only 32,785 had thier Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) out of the 49,953 registered voters in the area where INEC scheduled to hold the December 5 supplementary elections.
